New Cadet Orientation (NCO) Program

NEXT SESSION:
Orientation Meeting: Individually Scheduled
Shadow Drill - TBD

Cruiser Milwaukee Division holds several New Cadet Orientations ("NCO") per year.  The NCO Program offer our new cadets the opportunity to have the opportunity for success in the unit.  Through the NCO Program, prospective Cadets and Parents/Guardians are introduced to the Sea Cadets organization and the Cruiser Milwaukee Division.

Orientation Meeting

During this meeting, one of our Senior Staff Members will sit with the interested Cadets and Parents and provide an introduction to our program, it benefits and requirements.  This meeting typically lasts about 2-hours and may include other interested parties as well.  If, at the end of the meeting, Cadets are interested in further investigating the Sea Cadets, they will be invited to attend a Shadow Drill.

Shadow Drill

This will be a one-day event during one of our normally scheduled drills.  During this event, the Prospective Cadet(s) will be assigned to shadow one of our Senior Cadets throughout the day.  They can ask questions, learn basic military courtesies and learn other fundamental information about the Sea Cadets to help them with their decision to join the regular unit with confidence.

NOTE: During this event, the Prospective Cadet will also be measured for uniforms in an effort to allow us to issue uniforms in a timely manner, should they decide to join us.

To attend an Shadow Drill, a prospective cadet must have attended an Info Session with a Parent or Guardian.

TIME AND DATE: We will coordinate the Shadow Drill based on scheduled events for our Division.  Cadets will be required to report PROMPTLY at the time noted on the Plan of the Month ("POM"), sent to you approximately one-week in advance of the event.

LOCATION: The Richardson School. Please check-in according to our COVID-19 Safety procedures.

REPORTING INSTRUCTIONS FOR CADETS: After you have been cleared at check-in, you will proceed to your next station as instructed by the Officers and Cadet leadership. DO NOT PROCEED WITHOUT PERMISSION.
