Steps to Joining the U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps

1. Contact Unit - Fill out the form below to get in contact with us!  We will respond to your inquiry within 48 hours, to coordinate a phone call and, if desired, an in-person Orientation Meeting.

2. First Contact - We must perform initial screening calls for all applicants into our Program to ensure they meet the basic requirements (like age, location, and future aspirations) to join our Program.  If no contact is received within 14 days, we remove applicants from our applicant pool.

3. Orientation Meeting - During the screening call, we will invite prospective Cadets and their Parent/Guardian to attend an orientation meeting with our Staff.  If, by the end of that meeting, their is still interest, prospective Cadets will be invited to attend our next Shadow Day! 

4. Shadow Day - It is our "good faith" gesture to Prospective Cadets, for them to come and try us out for a day, no strings attached. This is also meant to help us determine if the applicant is a good fit for our Program and to provide them an in-person look at how we operate. Shadow Day happens during a normally scheduled drill. Applicants run through the full rigors of being a new member of our unit!

5. Decide to Join - After attending Shadow Day, applicants should think over whether the Program aligns with their future goals. The U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps is unlike any other youth program where what you put into our Program is what you will get out of it. We are steeped in professionalism, integrity, and a constant commitment to excellence and expect no less from our applicants!

6. Enrollment Forms - Once applicants have finalized their decision to join our Program, they can start the enrollment process immediately by filling out our enrollment form.  Enrollment requires a sports-type physical by a doctor, a copy of your Immunization Record, and copy of the front and back of your insurance card.  We are here to answer any questions you have while filling this out.

7. Enrollment Fees - Scholarships are available! We believe that cost should never be a barrier to joining our Program! (Click Here to see our Cost Sheet)​ The New Cadet Enrollment Fee is $240 and every year there after, re-enrollment fees are $140 (currently discounted to $90). The enrollment packet and enrollment fees must be submitted together on the day applicants enroll into our Program. 

8. Welcome Aboard! - After submitting the enrollment forms and fees, you are now a part of the finest youth program in the nation!  All benefits and opportunities are available for you to achieve if you work hard to earn them!
